This cookie policy explains which cookies and similar technologies vermietfabrik.de uses, what they are for and how you can control them. More information about how we process personal data is in our privacy policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They allow the website to recognise your browser again, for example to keep you logged in or to remember your language. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local or session storage, work in a comparable way; this policy covers them too.
2. How we use cookies
We distinguish between two categories:
- Essential cookies are needed for the website to work: they remember your cookie choice and your language, keep you logged in and protect forms against misuse. They are always active. Legal basis: § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR.
- Analytics cookies help us to understand how the website is used so that we can improve it. They are set only after you have agreed to them in the cookie banner. Legal basis: your consent, § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not allow third parties to place advertising cookies on our website.

On the secure live website, the names of the login cookies carry the prefix __Secure- or __Host- (for example __Secure-authjs.session-token). In your customer account we also use the browser's session storage to avoid counting the same action twice; this data is removed when you close the tab.
4. Google Analytics
If you accept analytics cookies, we load Google Analytics 4 from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. IP addresses are shortened, advertising features are not activated, and data may be transferred to Google LLC in the USA, which is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We use Google Consent Mode: until you consent, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. Details are in section 9 of the privacy policy.
5. Managing your choice
When you first visit the website, a cookie banner asks for your choice. You can accept all cookies, allow only essential cookies, or customise your selection. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time, with effect for the future, using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, our visit statistics stop immediately and the _fsid cookie is removed.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Please note that without essential cookies you cannot log in and some functions of the website will not work.
6. Changes
We update this cookie policy when we change the cookies we use. The current version is always available on this page; the date of the last revision is shown below. If you have questions, please write to info@vermietfabrik.de.
